The Wessex Institute of Technology, located in the New Forest National Park in the South of England was established in 1986 by Professor Carlos Brebbia. The New Forest National Park is home to many beautiful villages and undisturbed natural grace and elegance.
The Wessex Institute of Technology engages in a multitude of research projects including international collaborations with universities in Spain, Italy, Brazil and others. Annually there is awarding of the Prigogine Medal, a medal established in memory of Nobel Prize winner Ilya Prigogine. A second medal, the George Green Medal, is also awarded in a joint initiative with the University of Mississippi.
To further collaboration the Wessex Institute of Technology organizes a program of conferences yearly, 2016’s program consisting of 25 separate meetings. This encourages research both professionally and academically, growing both Wessex and those it collaborates with.
