Brazil’s Rally Star, Rodrigo Terpins

Rodrigo Terpins was born to a family that loves sports, but he’s made a great name for himself in his own right. The 41-year-old Brazilian rally driver, who hails from São Paulo, is the son of Jack Terpins, a former basketball player who is currently the president of the Latin American Jewish Council, and the older brother of Michael Terpins, who is one of the most successful rally drivers in Brazil. Michael Terpins is also his mentor, and the second member of the Bull Sertões Rally Team. Together, this team has participated in five rally events as of 2017.

Terpins mainly competes in the T1 Prototypes competitions as a rally driver. He is dedicated to and appreciative of his thousands of fans, who come from all over Brazil, but especially Goias and Minas Gerais, two of the cities he drove through in the 22nd edition of the Sertões Rally. This rally was 2,600 kilometers long, stretching through two states, and only one of the many Sertões Rallies he has participated in. In this rally, he and his navigator, Fabrício Bianchini, came in sixth and landed a position on the second stage. Rodrigo Terpins was thankful to his navigator, saying that the partnership had been great and the result had exceeded his expectations. He also took part in the 24th edition of the Sertões Rally recently.

In addition to being a rally driver, Rodrigo Terpins also has a history as an executive, having gained the position of President of Lojas Marisa during his 16 years at the company. In 2008, after leaving Lojas Marisa, he founded his own company, T5 Participacoes. Check out agenciaoglobo to see more.
